Plot: Four Lions tells the story of a group of British jihadists who push their abstract dreams of glory to the breaking point. As the wheels fly off, and their competing ideologies clash, what emerges is an emotionally engaging (and entirely plausible) farce. In a storm of razor-sharp verbal jousting and large-scale set pieces, Four Lions is a comic tour de force; it shows that-while terrorism is about ideology-it can also be about idiots.
Movie Quotes:
Goofs: We know about 3 goofs. Here comes one of them:
Errors in geography: The “lions” travel to London to detonate their devices at the London Marathon. However, the streets clearly show signs for Sheffield traders – including many 0114 (Sheffield) telephone numbers. Additionally, the double decker buses are the wrong color.
Trivia: There are 6 entries in the trivia list – like these:
- On January 23rd 2010, Four Lions had its world premier at Sundance. On the same day, the UK "terror threat" level was raised to "severe" due to non-specific "chatter".
- The last scenes set in London were actually filmed in Sheffield. The scene in "Kebabish" was filmed at Kebabish on the Wicker, in Sheffield. The other scenes were filmed on the Moor (a shopping area being renovated) and Campo Lane. Also, there are some shots where "For Sale" signs are visible and clearly show that they refer to Sheffield.
- On the DVD wait in the deleted scenes menu until the seagull appears and then press enter. This will take you to a further menu featuring more bonus materials.
